Stone Carving (beginners are welcome!!)
Ongoing: Tuesdays, 6-9 pm OR Fridays, 10 am - 1 pm, $299.
This 8-week course (total of 8 classes) explores the possibilities of stone sculpture, from a rough raw natural stone to a finished, polished and signed sculpture.
The class emphasizes hands-on learning in an informal and non-judgmental environment. Teaching is based on one-on-one guidance from the instructor and supports individual projects. This class is for students of all levels of experience. Special attention is given to those new to working in stone, focusing on stone qualities, basic carving techniques, and supporting re-covering trust in inner creativity.
Experienced students will find an approach of no limits, challenging them beyond the accepted boundaries of this medium.

Zahava Sherez is a sculptor and a teacher, with 30 years of sculpting and 10 years of teaching. She has also studied Authentic Movement for five years. She is a member and a leader in the national organization No Limits for Women Artists. This is a support network dedicated to helping artists achieve their highest creative potential by overcoming inner and outer obstacles. She has shown her work in juried, invitational, group and solo exhibitions. Her work is in private and corporate collections around the world.
